The work environment is under pressure.
In the spring, Gallup published this year’s “State of the Global Workplace 2024” analysis. It’s depressing to read for those of us who believe that work can and should be a source of joy, engagement, and pride. Gallup reports in this study that 72% of employees in Europe are disengaged. And only 13% are engaged!
In Denmark, a national study conducted around the same time by Arbejderbevægelsens Erhvervsråd (Economic Council of the Labour Movement) showed that, as a society, we experience an annual wealth loss (GDP) of nearly 55 billion Danish kroner. This is due to employees being affected by work-related stress, leading them to work fewer hours and fall ill – which is even worse!
Stress is unfortunately so widespread today that everyone knows one or more people who have suffered from it. And we know that it can have far-reaching consequences for the individual, the team, and the entire company.
We can and must do better!
Together with my business partner, Laurence Cassøe Halsted, I have therefore established Compassionate Performance.
We come from two different worlds, business management and elite sports, respectively. However, when we got to know each other, we quickly realized that our approach to leadership and culture is so similar that we decided to work together to better support people and organisations in developing, growing, and succeeding. To deliver results and achieve great, groundbreaking goals. In a compassionate way.
We call this Compassionate Performance.
From our own experience, we know how a more compassionate performance culture can unleash the true potential of individuals and teams. And we know that the leader’s mindset and behavior, as well as the collective behavior – the culture – are crucial.
By combining our own extensive experience in leadership, coaching, and mentoring we offer to help organisations create a compassionate performance culture.
Please reach out to us and let’s talk about how we can best help you.
We look forward to hearing from you!
